Have you been to Mazzaro’s Italian Market? It’s pretty much our own little slice of Italy. It consistently amazes me with their food selections and the sheer volume of people that come through their doors everyday! The market has everything you could possibly want from a premiere food market. There is a butchers counter, where the meatball mixture will change your entire life. I bring home the mixture, make meatballs, brown them and then cook them all day in a crockpot with sauce. YUM!
The deli has tons of prepared foods, sandwiches and cold cuts. The pasta is handmade daily and is to die for!
The bakery is amazing, featuring homemade breads, cookies and every Italian treat you can imaging, including gelato. I think you gain weight just by looking in the cases. There is also an espresso bar and wine and cheese room. The wine room has a super knowledgeable staff, good prices and some wines that are specific only to Mazarros’s. The JCB champagnes are my favorites, they are reasonable and can only be purchased locally at Mazzaro’s.
Best of all, Mazzaro’s Italian Market has done a great job of providing outdoor seating and there are even a few table inside now, with TV’s. Hello, how fun is that, I mean sitting inside you swear you are in Italy! There are always people from all over our area in there and it’s pretty much always crowded, if you go before a holiday, bring your patience because the lines will be long, but in the end they are totally worth it!
Not a good cook? Have you tried Mazzaro’s small bites restaurant on Beach Drive? Annata is absolutely delicious! They serve small sharing plates, wine and beer. They have a nice happy hour everyday and there is outdoor seating on Beach Drive! What an awesome way to try some of Mazzaro’s offerings without having to cook them up yourself!! Additionally the wine selection is amazing and the staff there is extremely educated to help you find something that is just right for you palette! Enjoy!!
