I get it, this time of year the calendar is too crowded and there is simply too much to do! But if you want to add another something, this Sunday, December 11th, is one of my favorite events of the entire Holiday Season.
The Old Northeast Candlelight Tour of Homes!
This event is put on each year through the Historic Old Northeast Neighborhood Association! It’s “open” from 3-8 p.m. and is a walkng tour of 8 homes (there are trolley’s that come through the neighborhood to help transport). The homeowners, generously open their homes to lines of people who admire their decorations, improvements and character. Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day of the tour, below is a list of ticket outlets.
Each year, I love to check out what has been done to some of the local homes to get them more current.
Our group likes to gussy up our wagons to pull through the streets of Old Northeast. We bring refreshments, food and friendships to spy, I mean, check out each of the homes! It’s a great chance to catch up with your friends who like you are busy during the holiday season, and the weather is always super nice.
Hope to see you on the route on Sunday!
